Ways to give to The Christian Brothers Foundation

The Edmund Rice Christian Brothers are committed to continue the mission of Blessed Edmund in the twenty-first century by responding to the needs of today’s most vulnerable members of our society.

With the help of concerned and devoted supporters such as you, the Brothers are steadfast in this mission of compassion, advocacy, and education. They complete this work in a variety of settings, including Catholic schools and numerous outreach ministries that serve the very human needs of the people of God. This work takes the Brothers to schools throughout North and South America and in outreach programs in underserved areas including Brownsville, Texas, Lima and Chimbote, Peru, and Cochabamba, Bolivia.

The 1838 Society

The 1838 Society recognizes individuals who have made a commitment in their estate plan to provide enduring support for The Edmund Rice Christian Brothers and its ministries to future generations.

Blessed Edmund Rice, after a lifetime of devotion that included service as an entrepreneur, husband, father, widower, religious brother, teacher, and founder, carefully organized his Last Will and Testament in 1838 with intentions for the future success of the Order he created. His foresight ensured a solid financial foundation for the Brothers and their ministries. He crafted his Will with an understanding that clear instructions would secure the ongoing progress of the work of the Congregation of Christian Brothers.

The generous planners who are members of the 1838 Society have taken similar action to care for people and institutions dear to them. They have also let us know of their bequest intentions to help support the ongoing fiscal sustainability of the Christian Brothers.

Join the 1838 Society

We invite you to join the 1838 Society and these generous individuals by including The Christian Brothers Foundation as you complete your own plans. You may indicate on the webpage linked above how you currently intend to support The Christian Brothers Foundation.
