The Church in the United States will celebrate Catholic Schools Week January 29 – February 3, 2023. This annual celebration reminds us of the remarkable accomplishments of our Catholic schools beginning with pioneers such as St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. John Neumann, whose feast days were celebrated earlier this month. This year’s theme, Faith, Excellence, Service, is reflected in the Essential Elements of an Edmund Rice Christian Brother Education, the document guiding the schools in the Consortium of Edmund Rice Schools.
We reach out in gratitude to the dedicated lay women and men, religious and clergy for their commitment to providing a rich, faith-filled Catholic education to our young people today, and to their parents for choosing, sometimes at great sacrifice, a caring Catholic environment for the education of their sons and daughters.
