Religious Brothers Day, annually celebrated on May 1, brings together all members of the Church to celebrate the life and vocation of the religious brother, honoring the important role religious brothers play.
In 2017, Pope Francis expressed his wishes that Religious Brothers Day would allow brothers to share "their prophetic testimony to evangelical fraternity and ecclesial communion," and that it would "act as a leaven for the renewal of the Church in American and the building up of an ever more just society, respectful of the dignity and aspirations of all God’s children."
The Brothers Think Tank, a joint ministry of the Religious Brothers Conference, Conference of Major Superiors of Men, National Religious Vocation Conference and the Religious Formation Conference has produced the Religious Brothers Day Guide: Celebrating the Life and Vocation of Religious Brothers produced.
Copies of this guide are available for $5 each, five for $20, or $3:50 each for ten or more copies. Copies can be can be requested Here
This year, with social distancing as the norm, The Conference of Major Superiors of Men (CMSM) in conjunction with the Brothers Think Tank would like to invite you to join Brothers from around North America for a special, online session to celebrate Religious Brothers Day together - virtually.
On May 1, 2020, brothers, and those who support the vocation of brother, are invited to join a short prayer session and discussion on the vocation of brother today. We will gather online via Zoom at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
