Mr. Joseph Murphy is a graduate of both Rice High School in NYC and Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. Joe is an astute businessman who made his name in banking and investing, following his service as a United States Marine. This past December, Joe’s beloved wife, JoAnn, passed away from COVID-19.

Since that time (and for many decades before), Joe has made significant financial contributions to numerous entities associated with the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers North America Province, including St. Joseph’s Residence in New Rochelle, NY. On July 3, 2021, Brother Kevin Griffith (Province Leader) joined Joe for lunch and presented him with handwritten letters of gratitude from our Brothers at St.

Joe’s as a token of our appreciation for Joe’s extraordinary support. Joe’s life-long commitment to the Christian Brothers has been a great blessing for us. Let us hold Joe and his family in prayer, as we express our deep gratitude for their tremendous generosity.
