Folan: Harnessing your own creativity
To start this school year, the Catholic Memorial community read “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” and hosted its author, William Kamkwamba. The memoir shares the story of a schoolboy who overcame adversity to build a windmill to generate electricity for his village in Malawi, Africa.
In September, Pope Francis invited the entire Church into a two-year process that will lead to the 2023 Synod of Bishops focused on synodality. The three guiding themes--communion, participation, and mission--are key dimensions of the work of justice and peace. They speak to an expansive, dynamic, and inclusive expression of the Gospel.

2021 ERCBNA Advocacy Workshop
On September 30, staff members and advocacy coordinators from ERCB Schools in the U.S., Canada and Peru joined together via Google Meet for the 2021 ERCBNA Advocacy Workshop. This annual workshop brings together staff members from ERCBNA Schools to discuss advocacy initiatives in our schools and to promote advocacy efforts for human rights and social justice concerns for the upcoming school year.
