TAMPA, Fla. (January 12, 2022)

Tampa Catholic High School is proud to announce a $2 million donation given by Kevin Knox II, a 2017 graduate of Tampa Catholic High School, and current New York Knicks basketball player. Knox's gift will fund the Kevin Knox II Fieldhouse at Tampa Catholic.

The new field house is a new gymnasium facility that will be home to a state-of-the-art fitness center, Hall of Fame Pavilion, Champions Hall, coaching suites, video scoreboard, mens' and womens' locker rooms, bleachers, and concessions. The new facility is currently under construction, and scheduled to be complete by this Spring and will be used by all TC athletes and fellow students in the school.

"We can not imagine a finer example of an alumnus who exhibits faith, excellence, and family," said Robert Lees, Principal, Tampa Catholic High School. "Kevin is a champion on and off the court, and we are so grateful for this gift that will enhance the experience for every Tampa Catholic student, current and future."

Kevin's inspiration for the donation was guided by the values taught by his parents, Michelle and Kevin. Sr, along with the lessons he learned from high school coach, Don Dziagwa.

"I was inspired to give back to Tampa Catholic, as they helped me become the person and player I am today," said Kevin Knox ll. "Being a TC Crusader will always be a part of who I am on and off the court."

Knox II, currently 22 years old, attended Tampa Catholic from 2013 - 2017. Beyond the acclaim he earned as a student-athlete, Kevin''s kindness is fondly remembered by his classmates, teachers, and coaches.

Kevin has three younger siblings: Kobe, Tampa Catholic alumni, Karter, current Tampa Catholic student, and Ashley.
